World Milk Day Celebration - 2020

World Milk Day is an international day established by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations to recognize the importance of milk as a global food. It has been observed on June 1 each year since 2001. Indian Veterinary Association - Kerala started commemorating world milk day in a befitting manner since 2019.

This year, the World Milk Day celebrations of IVA Kerala will be organised at two locations, Kasargode and Pathanapuram. Hon. Minister for Revenue, Govt. of Kerala Sri. E. Chandrasekharan will inaugurate the event at Kanhangad on 1.06.2020 10:30 am. Selected farmers from different blocks will be honoured during the function. Hon. Minister will inaugurate the layer bird rearing by vets and staff of Animal Husbandry Department durigng occassion.

Adv. K. Raju, Hon. Minister for Animal Husabandry and Dairy will inaugurate the celebrations at Gandhi Bhavan, Pathanapuram, Kollam on 01.06.2020, 3 pm. A cow will be donated to Gandhi Bhavan and distribution of milk to the inmates will be organised as a part of the Celebrations. The mobile App, Ksheeradoothan which will help the consumer to find the producer in his locality, developed by IVA Mannuthy unit in association with Govt. Engineering College, Thrissur will be launched during the function.
